About Juliette’s Patisserie
Juliette’s Patisserie LLC was born out of a dream owner Jerusha Smith had after travelling in Europe. Jerusha wanted to bring from scratch European baked goods to our local community coffee shops in Portage and the surrounding area. Within a year, Jerusha had established a wide array of pastry offerings ranging from scones and vegan muffins to rustic galletes, tarts, cakes and even gluten friendly desserts. After realizing there was a strong market for “from scratch bakery”, Jerusha was put in touch with a local pastry chef who was looking to roll up her sleeves and bring her expertise to the table. Veronika Burnaman widened the bakery product line with her signature European style cakes, desserts and pastries.
Veronika was born & raised in Deurerling Germany, and there earned her certification as a pastry chef. She worked at a Confiserie (French for a sweets shop) as a chocolatier and contributed to the success of patisseries. After meeting an American soldier and starting a family, Veronika and her husband moved to the U.S. where Veronika began creating custom cake orders for friends and family. She specialized in fondant decorating as well as European style puddings and cake fillings. Veronika met owner Jerusha Smith through one of Jerusha’s customers at her coffee shop. They struck up an immediate connection and Veronika began working with Jerusha to expand the bakery line. European pastries offered include Scones, Biscotti, Apple Strudel, Eclaires, Bienen stich (Bee Sting) cake, Rustic Galletes, Coconut Macaroons, Baklava, Tarts, Quiche, European style cakes, Mille Feuille, Opera Cake and more. Veronika and her husband have 3 children and live in the Portage area.
We hope you enjoy the sweet tastes of Europe offered right here in Wisconsin!
